My Secret Weapon of Achievement

I’m a lucky man. I get to do work that I’m passionate about and take part in projects that I truly enjoy doing every single day. Well, I’m not lucky – I don’t believe in luck, or at least the typical definition of luck.

I don’t think that most things in life happen by chance. More often they are a result (either directly or indirectly) of actions. Luck is not something that happens to us for no reason, but is in fact an outcome of circumstances that we have engineered through our actions.

Is someone who wins the lottery luckier than me? No, they just took the action to buy the ticket, where I did not. Now, it’s true that not everyone who buys a lottery ticket will win the lottery but those who do are certainly much more likely to win than those of us who don’t.
